SALT LAKE CITY -- Every marathon starts with a first step.

This one wasn't exactly a bouncy, happy-go-lucky, step.

The Dallas Mavericks only cared about the bottom-line Saturday night as they
skimped on artistic value, execution and ballhandling for much of the night,
but ended up winning easily in the fourth quarter.

They flew out of Utah with a 94-77 blasting of the Jazz, dominating the
fourth quarter as they finished with a 26-7 finishing kick after trailing
most of the way.

It's the first time the Mavericks have swept a four-game season series with
the Jazz.

their road mojo and Utah showed just how mightily it is struggling.

They should have known they were OK when they scored only 15 points in a
forgettable third quarter and were only behind 60-58.

"It was like an NCAA Tournament game," Shawn Marion said. "At the end of the
third quarter it was 60-58. What kind of score is that?"

The Mavericks still were down two midway through the fourth before J.J. Barea
and Jason Terry hit consecutive 3-pointers to start a 13-0 run.

Marion then converted a fast-break dunk and the Mavericks were up 76-70.

Moments later, Terry hit two free throws and after Al Jefferson was snuffed
on an inside shot, Tyson Chandler converted a three-point play after a nifty
pass by Marion for an 81-70 lead and the Mavericks were home free.
之後JET兩罰俱中，Al Jefferson的進攻被守下來，然後香妹妙傳給拳王完成一記三分打

Their entire fourth-quarter push came with Dirk Nowitzki resting on the bench
as he sat out the final 6:21. "That's a first," Barea said.

It also should help matters tonight on the second night of a back-to-back in
Phoenix.

"This is what we need," coach Rick Carlisle said. "It was a playoff-style
game. It was all about hanging in there and we were searching for a group
that could get some traction."

That group was a small lineup that feature Barea and Terry, along with Jason
Kidd.

It was a parade to the foul line for Dirk Nowitzki in the first half, when he
made all nine of his shots from the stripe.

That pushed him to 72 consecutive free throws. The NBA record is 97
consecutive by Micheal Williams.
Dirk已經連續罰進了72球，聯盟連續投進最多罰球的記錄是Micheal Williams的97顆。
