標題[外電] Sefko: Brendan Haywood's free-throw problems will contin

The Mavericks now are officially on notice. They will see the Hack-a-Haywood
tactic again. Probably very soon.
Until backup center Brendan Haywood figures out his free-throw shooting, it
would be foolish of opponents not to send him to the line to keep the
Mavericks from building on a lead, particularly when they are shooting well.
It was a funny scene in the fourth quarter when Haywood was running around
trying not to get caught by Milwaukee reserve Jon Brockman.
But it was not the least bit humorous when he missed four free throws ?
dropping him to 9-of-38 for the season (23.7 percent).
Haywood is a career 61.9 percent free-throw shooter. He's obviously nowhere
close to that this season, which is why the Mavericks know this strategy
could become popular.
"Sure, it wouldn't surprise me in the least," coach Rick Carlisle said. "It
was a good move. But Brendan will be all right. He'll make his free throws."
Maybe. But the indications don't look good right now.
"It was pretty smart move by a good coach," Dirk Nowitzki said.
A move the Mavericks will have to be ready for in the future.
