Marion was a solid 35-percent 3-point shooter until the last two seasons. In that time, he's stopped taking them and stopped making the few that he did try. Last season, he was just 3-of-19 from beyond the arc. Considering he'd made 670 3-pointers in his career before last season, it was like a dam plugged up his perimeter shot. That will change, coach Rick Carlisle said after the first practice this morning. "He spent time on it this summer and I want him to get back into shooting it,'' Carlisle said.
