Josh Howard (F) Dal sprained his right ankle midway through the first quarter
of the Western Conference finals opener against Phoenix on Wednesday night,
according to the AP.
Howard walked off the court gingerly with 6:01 left in the first quarter.
X-rays showed there was no break, but the team said he would not return and
would have an MRI exam Thursday.
X-rays were negative, but his return is doubtful. Marquis Daniels will get
extra minutes in his absence.
