He made two starts with the team. Powell (6-9, 225) has played 16 games for Dallas this season starting one time. He has averaged 0.8 points and 1.1 rebounds in 6.3 minutes per game. The undrafted rookie played for the Mavericks during the Reebok Vegas Summer League and the Reebok Rocky Mountain Revue in Utah. In nine total games, he averaged 11.6 points (50.0% FGs), 8.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 25.8 minutes per game. He played professionally in Europe for Lokomotiv Rostov na Donu of the Russian Superleague and Eurorida Scafati of the Italian Lega2 (2003-04) and then for Pepsi Caserta in the Italian Lega2 (2004-05).
