Dean Henderson - 6 Had little to do with his hands but showcased his underrated distribution with his first pass to Diogo Dalot. Diogo Dalot - 5 Got caught out for Villa's second-best chance when Jack Grealish got the run on him and was rarely seen in attack. Timothy Fosu-Mensah - 6 A reasonably solid performance from the Jack-of-all-trades at centre half. Fosu-Mensah's versatility continues to endear him to Solskjaer. Harry Maguire - 5 Caught ball-watching for Ollie Watkins' winner and was on his heels when Watkins skied a chance from Grealish's cross. Luke Shaw - 6 Proactive and delivered the odd inviting cross that was not met on his first appearance since July. Scott McTominay - 7 Had a polished first-half and operated at a good tempo but came off at half-time for Ethan Galbraith. Donny van de Beek - 7 (荷蘭人初登場!!!) Demanded the ball whenever he did not have it and got forward from his deep-lying role. Slick on the ball but not as profound in the second-half. Daniel James - 7 Maybe his most productive United performance of the calendar year. Offered good service, proactive and crudely fouled by Matthew Cash. Jesse Lingard - 6 Tested Jed Steer twice in the first-half and was tidy whenever he received the ball. Intuitively drifted into the middle to support the forwards. Marcus Rashford - 5 Played in the No.10 role and did not look comfortable there. Equally as guilty as Ighalo of not offering a penalty box presence. Odion Ighalo - 4 The sun was out and all Ighalo was missing was a deckchair. Nowhere to be seen for a number of presentable crosses and replaced by Teden Mengi. Subs Ethan Galbraith (19 yrs old) - 6 Close to scoring. Teden Mengi (18 yrs old) - 6 More deserved first-team exposure. Brandon Williams - 5 Came on at right-back. Lee Grant - 5 A rare outing.
