David de Gea - 7 (stratospheric: 平流層的, 代表極高的意思 (特地去查字典XD Sensationally saves Goncalves' raking effort to keep the scoreline goalless. By his stratospheric standards, it was a routine stop. Matteo Darmian - 5 Excelled at right wing-back last week but showed nowhere near as much fluency from right-back, where he never looked like threatening. Eric Bailly - 5 Got more valuable minutes under his belt ahead of an inevitable start at Chelsea. Ring-rustiness was patent as he almost gifted Benfica a leveller. Chris Smalling - 6 Unadventurous on the ball but mainly dependable. A mark of his secure form he was retained over Victor Lindelof, who has usually started midweek matches. Daley Blind - 6 (意外的點球手啊!!! Executed one majestic crossfield pass but some of his defending was lazy and he did not offer Anthony Martial sufficient support. Scored a penalty. Nemanja Matic - 7 Did not have the gall to try and claim his first United goal after it rebounded in off Mile Svilar's back. A sound conduit between defence and attack. Scott McTominay - 6 Acquitted himself supremely well on his first Champions League start. Fleet-footed and positive on the ball without making a true difference. Juan Mata - 6 Started on the right but veered centrally in an attempt to influence the game and was neat on the ball. Hardly effected the United attack, though. Jesse Lingard - 4 (真的 他完全不能打10號 他就是適合上來亂衝亂跑XD Positioned in the playmaker role again and demonstrated how unsuitable he is for that role. Came off at half-time with an apparent injury. Anthony Martial - 6 (今天真的過人如切菜啊!! Should have capped his scintillating start with a goal but had his penalty saved by Svilar. Overdid it at times but still United's best forward all evening. Romelu Lukaku - 6 Worked hard and became frustrated with United's lateral passing. When he did get a chance he finished weakly at Svilar. Subs Henrikh Mkhitaryan - 5 An upgrade on Lingard but one moment of laxness audibly exasperated sections of the crowd. Ander Herrera - 6 Brought urgency to the midfield and United pressed aggressively.
