Sir Alex Ferguson剛發表了一本叫作"Leading"的新書
裡面談到關於退休前的一些決定:
SAF認為Moyes是正確的選擇
"Once I’d conveyed it to the Glazers, then the process started of looking
for successors. We chose David Moyes. He had been consistent in his job at
Everton, had a good spell there — 11 years and showed appetite. No one knew
apart from the Glazers, David Gill and myself. When we appointed him, the
press were enthusiastic for a British manager. Unfortunately, somehow it didn
’t work out for David. The process was perfect. It was a good process."
還提到在選擇理想的繼任者時, 其實很多人都當時都無法接任
"We established that several very desirable candidates were unavailable."
繼任者們有提到
Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti, Jurgen Klopp,
Louis van Gaal, 還有
Ryan Giggs.
"I asked Pep to phone me before he accepted an offer from another club but
he didn’t and wound up joining Bayern Munich in July 2013"
"It became apparent that Jose Mourinho had given his word to Roman
Abramovich that he would return to Chelsea and that Carlo Ancelotti would
succeed him at Real Madrid. We also knew Jurgen Klopp was happy at Borussia
Dortmund and would be signing a new contract. Louis van Gaal had undertaken
to lead the Dutch attempt to win the 2014 World Cup."
關於老吉
"He has intelligence, presence and knowledge."
"But he(SAF) added there was ‘no chance’ that he would have asked any player
to step into his shoes when he retired."
其他事情還有提到SAF認為自己不該像Sir Matt Busby一樣在卸任後還留在俱樂部擔任
重要角色, 並想辦法讓自己不要干擾到繼任者
另外也稍微提了魯胖的簽約, 還有becks的超強肺活量, CR的自負,
還有跟Levy作生意真的很XXOO

剛又看了別篇報導
SAF說原本有想在Shitty之前簽下巴神的@@(好險沒簽?)
還有2010年魯胖鬧加薪事件後, Glazers問SAF他對這事情感覺如何
SAF說這件事有點不公平 後來SAF薪水就被加了一倍 並會確保不會有球員的薪水比Boss高
(但現在就不知道了)

SAF這本書裡說他認為是world-class等級的球員只有CR, Cantona, Giggs, Scholes
今天記者問小貝有沒有覺得被表了
還好高EQ的小貝回得不錯
"I played for the greatest manager of all time for the amount of time that I
did, I was lucky to play with the players I did and be successful with the
club that I loved and still love."
"I tend to agree with the manager. There's certain players that you can call
world-class, thankfully I played with many of them."
"I'm proud as a Manchester United player that we were successful and I'm proud
as a Manchester United player that we have the best players come to our team."
