as far as i know,
all music instruments are bought by schools, not by students.
of course, some students will buy their own instruments,
for example, many members of string orchestra will buy violins.
Or, some students themselves have to buy some accessories, like reeds.
today, my friend, the supervisor of wind orchestra in kulai foonyew,
has a good idea. He lists these accessories in budget, so students can have a
lighter burden on these.
(a bassoon reed costed me RM30[market price is RM 60, i have to pay half of it]
when i was a student in foonyew, and i needed a new reed every month,
most of my pocket money was wasted on this little thing....=.=)
regarding to the custom of wind orchestra,
uniforms had to be paid by students, because all uniforms are custom-made,
and noone can suit the uniform except the owner herself/himself.
this is the law for many years.
Of course, some accessories were assets of band, like ties, students neednt
pay for it.
was you a member in wind orchestra, string orchestra or chinese orchestra in
foonyew?
Or do you have a deep contact with these band?
