The mysterious hatch is shown to Jack, who sides with Locke over Sayid in favor of opening it. Walt warns Locke not to open the hatch. Walt also admits to his father Michael that he burned the raft the first time, and changes his mind about leaving the island once he realizes Locke's plan for the hatch.
