Former Liverpool captain Sami Hyypia has been named Player of the Year in Finland for the sixth time in just eight years. A full international since 1992, Hyypia first won the Finnish Player of the Year award in 1999 and then collected it again on three successive occasions between 2001 and 2003 and then again in 2005.
