標題[問題] gcc 4.2.1 and 3.4.3 有差異很大嗎

I used to make applications by gcc 3.4.3 and everything went well.
But when I am using gcc 4.2.1 to compile those of the same applications
it goes wrong. Can you, guru, tell me what is the difference between them?
Why they are not compatible? Is there any limitation or trick? Many thanks.
