The analysis is conducted from two primary perspectives: thematic role arrangements and information-structural constraints. First, to examine the constraints on thematic role arrangements, a substantial number of sentence-initial multiple argument constructions were extracted from corpora. The distributional tendencies of thematic roles were analyzed, and further investigation was conducted into the possibility of permuting their order. Based on these findings, a thematic role hierarchy governing the linear arrangement of thematic roles in sentence-initial position is proposed. Second, with respect to information-structural constraints, this study explores how variations in the referential properties and length of sentence- initial arguments, as well as structural alternations in the predicate, impact sentence acceptability. The results demonstrate that such variations induce shifts in information structure, which in turn can enhance the acceptability of sentences that might otherwise be judged as less acceptable. Through this study, it is shown that Chinese sentence-initial argument arrangements tend to follow a thematic role hierarchy and that information structure plays a crucial role in shaping the acceptability of sentence- initial multiple argument constructions. --
