Our lab currently has a project available for undergraduate students. We previously performed a genetic screen for novel regulators of programmed cell death in C. elegans and isolated many mutants. We are organizing a small team to characterize these mutants. The techniques involved will include SNP mapping (PCR, restriction enzyme digest, agarose gel electrophoresis), complementation test and phenotype characterization.
