看看do not have後面加的是什麼呢?> "fail" 在這fail是動詞 have和fail要用to
隔開 所以要用do not have to

: wanted him to study law instead of medicine.
would是will的過去式 祈使句 etc..在這是jeff一直以為他會變成醫生
要用he would have become (與事實相反 沒變成)
: 4)We're waiting in this line for over an hour; at this rate, there won’t be
: __________
: any more tickets by the time we get to the window.
是"我們正在這等一小時" 或者 "我們己經等一小時" 呢?
從語意上來看 是後者 而be ving是前者現在進行式
後者就要用 we have been waiting (持續進行)
