請問在電影"斷背山"中，
牧羊老闆對男主角又回來詢問有沒有工作時講的刻薄話：
You guys wasn't gettin' paid to leave the dogs baby-sit the sheep while you
stemmed the rose.
請問上句中的stemmed the rose應該作何解釋?
