Water is the essence of life on Earth. The human body, much like the earth, is composed of water. While the human body is approximately 90-95% made up of water, the land mass of earth is about 60% water; hence the reference to earth as a star of water. Despite its name “a star of water”, drinkable water for human beings is just 3%. If the ice in the South Pole region melted away, it is estimated that sea levels would rise over 70 meters, creating an inhospitable environment for life on earth. It is plausible that countries suffering from a lack of rain fall would face the necessity of finding it elsewhere. If these countries faced unexpecteddrought or other weather and climate related problems, the idea of war over water wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibilities. Water was free but that has changed. I see the necessity for action. I believe I can do something good. By example, through my music and my personal activities, I believe I can do my part, and influence those around me such as family and friends. If you can make a positive contribution by influencing those around you, over time I believe the world can change for the better. This is a dream I have, one that starts today and will continue into the future. Posterity is never ours for self-possession and self-interest. This album is a theme based on that notion, between the earth and creation, or what I call the “connectivity of water & music”. Water and music, both in their purist forms, are precious, now more than ever. We do not recognize the color of water, maybe other countries, people, children, recognize it in its various colors. No one can continue without water, even if they can recognize the various colors and shades. I feel music, like water, has a variety of colors, and together the two create something more colorful, more beautiful. One that starts today and will continue into the future.
