Xavi & Carles Puyol not in Spain squad for friendlies against USA & Venezuela The World Cup winners will have to make do without the services of the Barcelona duo in the upcoming international friendlies Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque has announced a 24-man squad for the upcoming international friendlies against United States and Venezuela. The 2010 World Cup winners will lock horns with the USA on June 4 before taking on the Venezuelans three days later. Del Bosque has taken the decision to leave Barcelona's Carles Puyol and Xavi out of the squad for both games. Puyol has been plagued by injuries in the past few months and will be rested, while Xavi is not fully fit either after a long season with the Catalans. New Sevilla signing Manu del Moral, who will leave Getafe this summer, is the biggest surprise in Del Bosque's squad. The 27-year-old attacker has yet to make his first international appearance at senior level.
