Teams that are winning are looking for one extra player to make a strong playoff run. Teams that playing poor are looking to let go of dead weight and get an extreme makeover. 又到了交易的日子，不論強隊或是弱隊都會尋求交易讓狀況變好。 Then you have the Knicks. The Knicks are currently a winning team and they are no longer giving opponents easy wins. Much of the Knicks winning has to do with team chemistry. The starting lineup is "gel-ling", the guys are playing team basketball, and most importantly the Knicks are winning. The Knicks already have the cap room to go after a top free agent in summer of 2011 or 2012 therefore there is no reason make changes to the current roster. It took the current Knicks team a training camp, preseason, and a month and a half to really start clicking. Plus there are still things the players have to get use to. Just imagine how long it might take the Knicks to get rolling if there are more major changes in the starting lineup. 尼克花了不久時間磨合出目前的狀況，訓練營、季前賽、 1.5個月的季賽，而且仍然再 調整當中，想想看，如果這時候來一筆大交易，那需要多少時間才能夠再次進入正軌。 Let's just say, unless it’s Carmelo Anthony, I do not see the Knicks making any real trades. Some fans might be getting anxious for a trade because it’s that time of year. However, don’t bank on it.
