With coach Phil Jackson entering the final year of his Lakers' contract,
transition appears to be in Los Angeles' future. The Chicago Tribune's Sam
Smith is betting that the Knicks will make a major run at Kobe Bryant with
the Bulls, Bryant's personal choice, still a possibility.
