Whether it's displaying his sharp wit or through a clutch performance, Divac seems to have an old trick in a new bag or a new trick inside an old bag. Amazingly, the 36-year-old Kings center has been putting up point-guard assist totals in the past two weeks. Overall, Divac has had 10 or more assists in seven games, but he has had five games of 11 assists in the past eight games. The assist averages of Divac and Mike Bibby's have been separated by tenths all season, providing fodder for the center's monologues. "You see Mike missing layups," he says, with Bibby in certain hearing distance. "He knows how close we are in assists. He doesn't miss layups when other people throw him passes.
