單元2 痛苦的情歌 http://tinyurl.com/ca6fmyf 接下來談到的是invincible這張專輯的情歌 作者和有些歌迷發現到了 就是這張專輯的情歌 表面上是情歌 但很多時候，那就像是MJ對著歌迷唱，唱出他和歌迷、大眾之間關係的歌 例如don't walk away這首歌： Don’t walk away See I just can’t find the right thing to say I tried but all my pain gets in the way Tell me what I have to do so you’ll stay Should I get down on my knees and pray How can I stop losing you And how can I begin to stay When there’s nothing left to do but walk away I close my eyes Just to try and see you smile one more time But it’s been so long now all I do is cry Can’t we find some love to take this away Cause the pain gets stronger every day 表面上像是請求情人不要走，但實際上可能是希望他的歌迷們不要離棄他 尤其是在戀童案、媒體八卦一堆後， 很多他原來的歌迷或喜歡他的大眾都離開他了 所以透過歌曲，MJ希望大眾不要遺棄他， 並希望能修補他和大眾的關係 而沒有太多辯解，沒有辯解說是哪裡有問題， 而是誠懇的希望歌迷告訴他要怎麼修補問題 然後這張專輯大多數的情歌 都是講男女因為某些誤解而分開（或者說，大眾因為對MJ的誤解而離開他） 然後，這些歌曲裡面 MJ都唱出他想要挽回、想要修補關係 但是另一半（大眾）好像都不願理睬他說什麼 例如invincible這首歌： Now many times I’ve told you of all the things I would do But I can’t seem to get through, no matter how I try to 或是butterflies: All you gotta do is walk away and pass me by Don’t acknowledge my smile when I try to say hello to you And all you gotta do is not answer my calls When I’m trying to get through Keep me wondering why, when all I can do is sigh 還有don't walk away這首也是： Don’t walk away See I just can’t find the right thing to say I tried but all my pain gets in the way Tell me what I have to do so you’ll stay Should I get down on my knees and pray 這些歌曲裡，MJ都是想要像對方（大眾）解釋些什麼 但是好像都是有理說不清， 就像男女關係裡很多時候， 一旦有了誤解就很難解釋的清楚 這些都讓MJ很無力很痛苦 Cause the pain gets stronger every day 所以那份痛苦、孤獨、無力感越來越大 whatever happens這首講述夫妻互相扶持的歌 也是出現了這樣的歌詞情境： Everything will be all right, he assures her But she doesn’t hear a word that he says Preoccupied, she’s afraid . . . He doesn’t know what to say, so he prays Whatever happens, don’t let go of my hand 他（MJ）想說些什麼，但不知從何說起，對方也不聽，所以只能祈禱 無論發生什麼，不要離開我 這些情歌，只有少數的歌曲 例如speechless是溫暖、快樂的 這可能意味著，除了原本的大眾、歌迷之外 有一分新的感情在MJ身上發生 例如：他的小孩的誕生 MJ自己也說過這首歌是和小朋友玩後 在樹上寫出來的 --
