Pessotto explains suicide bid

Juventus team manager Gianluca Pessotto has discussed
his failed suicide attempt for the first time.
咱們的球隊經理 Pessotto 首次談到自己意圖自殺未遂的事。
The former defensive star jumped from a balcony at Juve's headquarters
on June 27, 2006 after the Calciopoli scandal broke.
他在電話門爆發的2006年六月二十七日從尤文總部的窗臺飛身衝頂。
Against all odds, Pessotto survived the fall
and has returned to the game behind the scenes for the Old Lady.
而他打破所有預期，在落地受身後生還，並且重回尤文的幕後工作。
“Everything I had done on the pitch had just disappeared,”
he recalled in La Stampa.
他回憶起這檔事的時候說：「我在賽場上所做的一切就這樣煙消雲散。」
“It was like receiving a kick to the head
without knowing where it had come from.
「這就像是天外飛來一腳踢在我腦門上似的。」
“I felt like the victim of persecution as I was being chased as if I was
the worst offender. Every person I saw seemed like the Devil or the Madonna.
「我覺得自己是這場迫害的遇難者，不斷被追逐，
好像我是最糟糕的違法者，每個人在我看來都像是魔鬼或是聖母。」
“I was up at the club's headquarters and I wanted to go home.
I switched off the light and I woke up eight or nine days later.
「我在球會的總部樓上，只想要回家，我關上燈，然後再醒來已是八、九天後了。」
“When I woke up, a psychiatrist explained everything to me.
I couldn't eat for three or four days as I tried to understand
what had happened.
「當我醒來，有位精神科醫師向我解釋了一切，
我三、四天食不下嚥，因為試著想理解到底發生了什麼事。」
“I still can't understand the reason as to why I tried to do
such a thing at the headquarters. Maybe I knew it was a secure place
for me in some sense.”
「我仍然搞不懂自己為什麼會在總部嘗試這種事，
或許是因為某種程度上我知道那裡對我來說是個安全的地方吧。」
