Piccolo: "I'm getting better each day"
In and out of the treatment room for much of the year with a serious
ankle injury, Felice Piccolo had a nightmare 2006. But this year things
have been different as he looks to leave those troublesome times behind him.
With three championship starts under his belt so far, he looks a likely
candidate for a place on Saturday's team sheet against Rimini:
“Luckily I'm fine now – he told Juventus Channel – I'm getting better
every single day. I'm really pleased, especially when I think back to
a few months ago and the injury I had. This is a great moment for me”.
Piccolo有個惡夢般的2006年，多次因嚴重腳踝傷進出診療室，但是今年看來不同，
目前出賽３場的他有望在週六贏的先發，他在《Juventus Channel》上說：
「我很幸運現在很健康，每天都變得更好，我真的很高興，
特別是當我回想幾個月前受的傷，現在對我來說是美好的時刻。」
It's a moment which has every chance of lasting, and not just if Deschamps
employs him against Rimini. The coach knows he has a player he count on for
the rest of the season as the Bianconeri home in on a return to Serie A:
“My team mates were brilliant over the first half of the championship,
making up the points deficit and taking the team to the top of the table.
It's a real satisfaction and yet another stimulus for us to continue along
the same path. Is Serie B tough? I knew it was going be having already
played in this division when I was at Como. And it's also true that
the teams we play treat games with Juventus as a matter of life or death”.
「我的隊友在上半季都很出色，填補了罰分，帶領球隊站上積分榜首位，
這很讓人滿足，也是另一項刺激我們持續以同樣路線前進的因素，
義乙難打嗎？我還在 Como踢球的時候就知道這點了，
而且其他球隊都將碰上我們的比賽視為生死之戰也是真的。」
Next up, Rimini. There's a good chance Piccolo will be paired in defence
with Nicola Legrottaglie, himself returning from injury. “I would love to
play alongside him, he's a guy with tremendous experience. If we get the
chance to play together, I don't think we'll have problems understanding
one another. And this time Rimini won't be springing a surprise like they
did last time round. Serie B is new to us, but we now know the kind of
attitude needed to play in this championship”.
接下來要對 Rimini，Piccolo很有可能跟 Legrottaglie搭擋中後衛，他說：
「我很高興能在他身旁踢球，他有很棒的經驗，如果我們有機會一起出賽，
我不認為我們會對理解彼此有問題；這次對 Rimini不會再像上次一樣爆出意外了，
義乙對我們而言是新局面，但是我們現在知道該用何種態度面對這個聯賽了。」
