Trezeguet, the man who ended Italy's Euro 2000 dreams by netting a Final Golden Goal, was this time the villain of the piece even if he’s graciously accepted defeat. “I admired the Azzurri's desire to do well,” he said. “They weren't among the favourites to begin with, but were very solid, determined and focused.
