He went under the knife to stop internal bleeding and stabilise a fractured pelvis, but today surgeons operated on his right foot, which was heavily damaged in the fall. 之前是止住內出血、穩定骨盆，這次是在右腿動刀。 “The surgery was successful and his condition remains the same as yesterday,” explained Professor Pierpaolo Donadio of the Molinette hospital in Turin. 醫生說：「手術成功，他的狀況跟昨天一樣。」 “This is a good sign, as the more time goes on, the less likely he is to run into complications. If on Thursday he was 1-0 up after 20 minutes of play, then today it's 1-0 at the half-hour mark. We put the broken bones back in place and stabilised them with wires. It was urgent surgery, as if time went on then the bones might not have healed. He had some very complicated fractures and the heel risked paralysis.
