Jeremy Lin 1-on-1: Taiwan Love 林書豪一對一專訪: 台灣美~食 我鐘意食 In the final portion of our 1-on-1 "Beyond Linsanity" series, Jeremy Lin talks about his Chinese skills and of his favorite memories about Taiwan. 在"Beyond Linsanity"系列訪談的最後一回，啾咪林談到自己的中文程度， 以及他所喜愛的台灣記憶 Mandarin Chinese is a second language for Lin, who grew up in Palo Alto, California to parents of both Chinese and Taiwanese origins. As with any Asian American, learning Mandarin is a challenge. For all those who have watched Lin's interviews in the Chinese language, it is this Asian-American reporter's view that his Chinese comprehension level is actually pretty solid. The speaking part, the comfort level to freely converse, seems to be what Lin is working hard to improve. 中文(普通話兒)是林的第二母語，他在加州的Palo Alto長大，父母的出生地是中國及台灣 就跟大多數的亞裔美國人一樣，學習中文可是一項挑戰 對看過林用中文受訪的人來說，尤其從我這個亞裔美國記者的角度， 他對中文的理解程度其實算是不錯的，在口說部分，他也能自在地與人交談 看樣子林可是在這部份下了不少功夫 "Yeah, I have some Chinese conversations," Lin said. "During the season, I don't have as many, but I've been trying to keep in touch with some of my friends from overseas and just speak regularly, like through text message, but in audio message, so we have a little app that allows me to communicate with my friends overseas and I see them every summer when I go over there, so I told them, just speak Chinese to me and I'll speak Chinese back to you. Don't make fun of me and I'll work on it." "是呀，我有一些用中文交談的機會" 林說 "在這個球季，雖然比較沒有那麼多 但我會試著聯繫一些在海外的朋友，用簡訊或是語音訊息，三不五時閒聊一下， 有一些APP可以讓我和海外的朋友保持聯絡。每個夏天到台灣的時候也會遇到他們 我都會叫他們跟我說中文，然後我會試著用中文回應，而且要他們千萬別嘲笑我 我可是很努力地在學了(怕害羞?XDDDDD)" When Lin says he goes back every summer, he means it. Going back to Taiwan to visit relatives and friends has become an annual item on his agenda. Lin was asked about what he loves most about Taiwan. 當林說每個夏天都會回去那裏的時候，他可是認真的 回到台灣拜訪一些親朋好友，已經變成他年度的例行公事了 而林也被問到他最喜歡台灣的什麼? "I've got to get that food," Lin said. "Eat that food. And I need to go to the night market. Last year (when he visited), things were a little too crazy, so I didn't get a chance to go. It was a busy time out there, but this year, I've got to find a way to get to night market. That's my favorite thing." "台灣的美食我是一定要吃的!!!!!!" 林說 "除了吃之外，我還得去一下夜市，不過去年 回台灣的時候，媒體跟球迷似乎有點太過熱情，所以我並沒有機會好好逛夜市 行程排得很滿，但今年，我一定會找到機會去一下夜市，這可是我的最愛" As far as favorite foods? 有什麼喜歡吃的東西嗎? "Everything," Lin said. "Everything from the night-market food to usually, the little dishes, you know, the "dian xing" (Mandarin for little, appetizer-like dishes). Just go out there and order a bunch of small, little things and eat it family-style." "全部" 林說 "夜市的食物我都超愛的，尤其是那些小菜、小點心， 我們只需要走到那裏，然後點一堆好吃的小東西，然後和家人一起享用" --
