Tokyo Verdy have revealed that their 18-year-old striker has joined the peninsula outfit on a one-year loan deal. Catania have been in talks with the J-League side since Christmas for the boy who last year impressed onlookers at the Under-20 World Youth Cup. Morimoto hit the headlines in his homeland back in May 2004 when he became the youngest player to net in J-League history. The teenager was just 15 years, 11 months and 28 days old when he rippled the net for the Asian outfit. Catania made an official offer via fax last Saturday and a deal has now been agreed between all parties.
