Coherence is the quality or state of co hering, which means coming together and forming a unified whole, especially w ith a logical, orderly, and aesthetically consistent relationship of parts. In essay writing, coherence refers to the organization of ideas. If your essay lacks coherence, we say it is incoherent and you might know that incoherent m eans lacking in clarity or organization -- disordered.
