標題[問題] 眾文高分模考裡面的題目

題目：Tests were conducted for these on ____ different subjects.

是指由環境構成的因素
問題：題目如下，這題答案是3, 我把題目解讀為實驗用了幾種不同的主題，
但是後來查Subject也可翻譯為受測試者，
從文章看來，實驗是測試了2種方向(close work & night light)
但是用了3種受試者(monkeys, chicks & infants)
想請問那這樣要如何去界定subjects是指甚麼呢????
或是我理解題目有誤呢？

文章：(主題是Myopia:近視)
Researchers have split environmental factors up into two main contributors.
One is that too much "close work" is attributed to the development of myopia.
The other is theory which states that night lights may be responsible
for myopia in infants.
For the former, experiment have been conducted on both monkeys and chicks to
prove its validity. They were forced to view objects ......(略)
.....For the latter, test conducted on infants concluded that those
who were exposed to a night light had a greater tendency to develop myopia.
