The First Team squad landed in South Africa this morning to a hugely enthusiastic welcome ahead of the Vodacom Challenge, which begins for us on Saturday with our opening game against the Kaizer Chiefs in Durban. It was an 11-hour flight to Johannesburg, where the players received a greeting from local supporters, before Martin Jol and Robbie Keane took part in a pre-tournament press conference that was also attended by the coaches of Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates - Muhsin Ertugral and Bibey Mutombo - as well as Chiefs star and former Charlton striker Shaun Bartlett.
