新聞來源 - Sky Sports Jol: Tom is a young Carrick Tottenham boss Martin Jol has hailed Tom Huddlestone as one of the best prospects in Europe following the midfielder's fine season thus far. The gifted 19-year-old spent last term very much finding his feet at White Hart Lane but Jol has since promoted him to his first team ranks on a regular basis. Huddlestone has certainly not disappointed with a series of mature displays, which have belied his tender years and earned him somewhat of a cult status amongst the club's faithful. Jol makes a comparison with his former charge Michael Carrick but is of the opinion that Huddlestone is good enough to eclipse the Manchester United and England schemer. "Everybody is raving about Tom Huddlestone and I don't think there is another player like him in Europe at 19 years of age," said Jol. "He is a young Carrick - he is exactly the same. Carrick is a top player - I said it for a couple of years and nobody believed me, but then he was man-of-the-match for Manchester United against Chelsea. "Maybe Tom is a bit younger and if he keeps on doing the things he does in training, he could score more goals than Carrick.
