新聞來源 - Sky Sports Jol aggrieved at red card Tottenham manager Martin Jol has defended himself after being sent off in the 1-1 draw with Blackburn. Jol appeared to be shown the red card moments before the final whistle after protesting against the dismissal of Hossam Ghaly, but he believes the referee made a mistake. "It is an emotional game and I thing the referee was a bit emotional," Jol told Sky Sports. "All I wanted to do was protect my player. "I said `you are totally wrong' and he said `you can go as well'. "Hopefully he will rethink the situation." Ghaly was given his marching orders for an elbow on Michael Gray, but Jol does not think his player committed an offence. "He never did something intentionally, so I think it was harsh," he explained. Blackburn's Tugay was sent off for a foul on Ghaly with 30 minutes to go, and Jol admits his side did struggle to make the most of their one-man advantage in the closing stages. "It was difficult. They were full of energy and tried to break us," he said. "It was an eventful last five minutes so we couldn't make it count.
