The 19-year-old is highly rated within the corridors of White Hart Lane and is tipped for a big future in the game. Ifil, who had two spells on loan at Millwall last season, made his first appearance of the campaign in Wednesday's Carling Cup win over Port Vale. Spurs boss Martin Jol was delighted to tie down the full back to an extended contract. "I wanted him to extend his contract because I think he is a terrific player," Jol told the club's official website.
