Cech picked up a fracture to the skull in a collision with Reading midfielder Stephen Hunt on Saturday and looks set to be sidelined for several months. His replacement Carlo Cudicini was also stretchered off with a head injury late in the game, but Jol feels the authorities should resist any calls to give goalkeepers more protection. "No, I think it's an incident," he told Sky Sports News. "How many times will that happen in a year? A couple of times." Jol reckons injury is a risk that goes with the game, and pointed to the fact that Spurs defenders Calum Davenport and Michael Dawson had been knocked recently as evidence that goalkeepers are not alone in living dangerously. "We had two defenders, one had concussion and one had a broken nose, so it happens to all football players," he explained. "The keeper is a vulnerable position. He has to dive in for balls and go in where it hurts.
