King high on Berbatov Tottenham Hotspur captain Ledley King believes summer signing Dimitar Berbatov can fire the club to new heights. The Bulgaria international joined Spurs for 10.9 million from German side Bayer Leverkusen earlier in the close season. The 25-year-old made a positive impression on Saturday with a double strike for the North Londoners, as Spurs defeated Championship side Birmingham City 2-0 in a pre-season friendly. King believes the likes of Berbatov can help put behind the disappointment of missing out on this season's UEFA Champions League. "Dimitar showed what he was all about today," King said in the Daily Star. " He took both goals brilliantly and his all-round game was great. "He's a finisher and an out-and-out goalscorer, but he can hold the ball up. "After the way last season went, it was a disappointing end. But we have added to the squad. "Benoit Assou-Ekotto, the left back, has looked very good and we have Didier Zokora.
