新聞來源 - Sky Sports Jol reassures Defoe on England Martin Jol believes Jermain Defoe has nothing to worry about with regards to securing his spot in Sven Goran Eriksson's England squad for this summer's World Cup. Many believe the Tottenham striker has slipped behind Charlton's Darren Bent in the pecking order due to his limited amount of starts this season. Defoe has emerged off the bench in many of the North Londoners' clashes due to the impressive form of Mido and Robbie Keane. However, Jol believes Defoe has played a significant amount this term and believes he will play his part under Eriksson in Germany this summer. "Jermain Defoe was involved for 30 matches. Keane involved in 30 matches. As a matter of fact Jermain has played more minutes than Keane to be honest," Jol told Sky Sports News. "Jermain's done wonderfully well. He's played 30 games. I'll always say if you play more than 25 games at this club you do well and we're happy with you. "Everyone knows he was in the England team for a couple of years now, so why should he be worried. "He's now played three out of five matches recently, so there's no problem. He's scored his goals, made the goal against Sunderland for Keane. "It was a scrappy game against Birmingham but who made the first goal?
