Rovers produced a superb effort at White Hart Lane, but Spurs refused to lie down and Mido's scrappy goal 20 minutes from time handed them a 3-2 win. The victory tightened Spurs' grip on fourth place ahead of North London rivals Arsenal and their vanquished opponents and Mido believes the club can take heart from the success. "For me, it was a vital win," said Mido. "First of all because Blackburn were only three points behind us and now we have opened a gap again. "The second reason was because in the last four or five games we've had a bit of a dip in results, it's been a difficult period and we had to step up again and win the game. "Blackburn are a very good team and are difficult to beat. I said before it was very important and it was a great win for us. "We showed great mentality with how we reacted after we conceded the second goal.
