The 26-year-old won the Champions League with Porto in 2004 but has been frozen out at White Hart Lane following an influx of midfielders under current coach Martin Jol. The arrival of Edgar Davids, Jermaine Jenas and Teemu Tainio has pushed the Portuguese player down the pecking order. Now he is ready to return home to gain regular first-team football. 'I want to return to Portugal,' he confirmed. 'I don't want to be ignored any more. If I am out of the picture then I will leave. 'The first year I had a good season but then some bad things set me back. I broke a toes and missed the last two months of the campaign. But I can't just be left like this.
