The Italian arrived brimming with confidence straight from two wins at last week's Fed Cup, and defeating Russian sharp shooter Nadia Petrova a few days ago in Warsaw. But Justine's laser edged shot making was too overwhelming to harness for Santangelo. The charismatic Belgian takes on Serbian Jelena Jankovic in the Semi-finals on Saturday. Justine started quickly again with strong service holds for a first set. But it was from 4-2 that Belgian artistry took hold of the match as she painted designs on the entire clay court canvas taking the first set 6-2. It was the continuing art of playing on clay lessons in the second set as Justine displayed her trademark percision groundstoke returns. There was drama in the match as JH fought tooth and nail to save 4 deuce games for a 5-1 service hold. The tension was too much for Santangelo as she crumbled with a backhand error for a Henin match point in the final game. Final Score: 6-2 6-1 in 1 hr 5 min Justine's Semi-Final Opponent Dossier Justine battles Jelena Jankovic in the semi-final. This will be their fourth career meeting, the last was the Doha SF earlier this year in March. Justine defeated Jankovic 6-7 (5-7) 6-2 6-4 in a long hard three sets. Jelena has improved, and won her first Tier I title at Charleston in April on green American clay. The J&S Cup semi-finals will be aired on Eurosport, The Tennis Channel in America, La Duex in Belgium, and Polsat in Poland.
