http://www.henin-hardenne.be/bin/index.asp?lang=en WIMBLEDON 2006 - Long Hot Summer 30/06/2006: On the first real summer day at Wimbledon, Justine defeated young Russian talent Anna Chakvetadze 6-2 6-3, and became the first player in this year's grand slam to enter the 4th round. The midday 29 C heat caused problems with line call sighting and the patches of drier grass created odd ball bounces, but the gallant Belgian has made it into the 2nd week. She will have Saturday and Sunday as rest days, and play the 4th round match on Monday. The first set started out very strongly for the ambitious Anna Chakvetadze with solid serves. A finalist in Junior Wimbledon in 2003, the young Russian was very comfortable on grass. Justine's game came to life from 2-1 in the set as she started to hit harder, and caused Chakvetadze to fumble against flashy unreadable returned shots. The high 80% first serves for the grand Belgian only accentuated to the young Russian the difference in stature as she threw mini temper tantrums berating herself. A few bad line calls also fustrated Chakvetadze as Justine observed nonchalantly from the other end of the court. The first set went to Justine 6-2 in 30 minutes. The second set was more of the same, as Justine won rallies that started with aggressive shots from the young Russian, but were of no avail to Chakvetadze. Justine's young opponent played a few good games and won breakpoints off very loose Henin-Hardenne serves. Anna had 2 winners compared to Justine's 14 in the second set. The queen of clay passed her first test at the All England Lawn And Tennis Club, she won the second set 6-3 in 35 minutes of play.
