It was only Justine's second lawn tennis match since her visit to England back in 2003. The surface adjustment from slow red clay to quick green grass was very sweet for the 5x grand slam champion. She will next play Russian veteran Elena Likhovtseva in the quarterfinals on Thursday. The match started with Pescke on serve, and true to the nature of grass tennis the games went all on serve until 2-2 when the dashing Belgian's immaculate return game broke the higher percentage serving of the Czech. Justine won the next 10 consecutive points with solid returns, and even an ace on her second serve during a game. Attentive points, and very few errors from Justine lifted her spirits to win the first set in 32 minutes 6-2. The gallant Belgian continued to grow fluent on grass, and immediately broke Peschke's opening service game in the second set. Things went down the knoll for the Czech as double faults reared it's ugly head while Justine pressured her to play high risk offensive tennis to avoid dealing with elite returns from the other side of the net. The Belgian champion rode off with the set as cool as a sporty Mini Cooper cruising in the English countryside. The second set was 6-1 for Justine. A perfect return first match in England, and her first win on gazon for the season. Final Score 6-2 6-1 in 1hr 1min -- 好的開始 ... 加油 juju! --
