Henin-Hardenne - the fifth seed this year - looked comfortable in the first set, taking it with the loss of just two games, but the second was a different story entirely. Yakimova, an unknown at this year's tournament, matched her opponent shot for shot and game for game, bringing up three set points at 5-4. But she was ultimately unable to finish the job, allowing Henin-Hardenne to level at five games each. The Belgian - who was celebrating her 24th birthday on Thursday - capitalised on Yakimova's nerves and took the second set 7-5, and fix up a third round meeting with either Alize Cornet of France or Italian Tathiana Garbin. "I was not in a mood to give a present on my 24th birthday," said Henin. "It was tough, the conditions were really bad. I was struggling to remain aggressive. Sometimes I was in bad positions," she added. "Fortunately, it's in these moments that I hit my best shots." MYSKINA AND IVANOVIC TO MEET Former champion Anastasia Myskina cruised to a 6-2 6-4 victory over Melinda Czink of the Czech Republic to book a mouth watering date in the third round with Serbia's Ana Ivanovic, who earlier wasted no time in crushing Emilie Loit of France 6-1 6-1. Myskina took just over an hour to progress through to the last 32, and keep alive hopes of a repeat of her success in Paris back in 2004. Nineteenth seed Ivanovic was in fine form against Loit, and dropped just two games on her way into the third round. Elsewhere, fifteenth seed Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia made it difficult for herself against Swiss player Emmanuelle Gagliardi, eventually running out a 3-6 6-2 6-3 winner. And 32nd seed Argentine Gisela Dulko beat the Ukraine's Yuliana Fedak in two sets 6-2 6-4, whilst America's Shenay Perry won through as Akiko Morigami folded 6-3 6-0. --
