Last year the petit Belgian emerged victorious from Roland Garros after a year blighted by injury and illness and her form this season suggests that the fifth seed is very much one of the players to beat. "I dream of winning Roland Garros again," said the four-time major winner. Indeed, this dream could well become a reality for the woman most feared by the other players on clay with the slow, high bouncing surface suiting Henin's game down to the ground, giving her plenty of time to unleash her elegant and deceptively powerful ground-strokes. "I'm happy to be back on clay," said Justine. Adding: "Clay is the surface where I get the best results. I feel at my best on clay, it suits my game." With the Belgian now fully fit and raring to start her assault on a third title in four years, such confidence in her own game is hardly surprising despite a tight three set loss to Nadia Petrova, unbeaten on clay this season, at the final in Berlin. But Roland Garros seems to be a second home for Henin-Hardenne, and she often seems to save her best tennis for the second grand slam of the year. Last year the world number five had been followed by a cloud of injury and illness for more than a year before embarking on an unbeaten run through the clay court season of 24 matches, including three tournament wins before the French Open. "2004 and 2005 was hard with lots of interruptions," she said. "I've put it (the bad year) behind me, it's a long time ago now." All Henin wants to do now, apart from win more tournaments, is: "To finish the year healthily because last year was horrible."
