She's currently in at #5 on the WTA rankings, and should receive a bye for the first round of this event. The best tennis players in the world will be reuniting after the grueling outdoor hardcourt season. The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix will be only the second of many European indoor tour dates of the year, and the line-up looks very impressive. Current number #1 Maria Sharapova (injured, and withdrew from Beijing last week during the semi-finals), Kim Clijsters, Amelie Mauresmo, and Justine will be the top 4 seeds in Filderstadt. Other top stars in the draw will be Serena Williams, Elena Dementieva, Anastasia Myskina and Nadia Petrova. Last year's winner, and world #2 Lindsay Davenport is not entered in this event. Venus Williams has withdrawn due to injury last week. Justine's objective will be to gain confidence, and take each match one at a time. There's no points to defend from the previous year, from now to end of the season. She'll also have superb memories to visualize, and utilize from her great run at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix as a finalist in 2001, and 2003. Tournament Schedule The draw will be released this Sunday at 15:00hrs (local time). We'll give you a wrap-up of Justine's round map of the draw. All matches begin at 13:00hrs. The first rounds will be on Monday and Tuesday. Justine will have a bye, and should play her first match on Wednesday or Thursday. The quarterfinals are held on Friday, the semi-finals on Saturday, and the final on Sunday Oct 9. There are various ways of following Justine's Fildestadt race if you don't have WTA events televised live in your local area next week.
