In the most significant move of the offseason thus far, the Atlanta Hawks have followed in Memphis’ footsteps by offering their star guard, Joe Johnson, a maximum contract that is worth approximately $120 million over the next six seasons. Many media members have been speculating that the landscape of the entire NBA would be altered permanently by the highly regarded 2010 free agent class.
