: Wang and Kuo are friends, having grown up in the same area in Taiwan. Kuo was
: considered the better prospect when they were younger because he threw harder.

星期二對台灣來說是個大日子(大晚上？:-P)
在紐約，洋基的王建民對上響尾蛇七局只掉一分，目前六勝四敗，防禦率 3.49。
在洛城，道奇的郭泓志對上大都會七局只掉一分，進步為一勝一敗，防禦率降到 3.60，
他還打了隻全壘打，而道奇打敗了近況不佳的大都會。
王建民和郭泓志是好朋友，而且在台灣的同一個地方(應指台南)長大。在他們小時候，
郭泓志是較被看好的新秀，因為他投球比較剛猛。然而郭泓志傷病纏身，直到上一季才
重新浮上台面。許多台灣球迷寄有關王建民的電子郵件給我，而我也認識了幾個台灣記
者；紐約的美國棒球記者協會今年還新進了一個台灣人，他是世界週刊的 Joseph Liao。
大聯盟在台灣相關事務上的突破實在很棒！我可以跟大家保證，王建民和郭泓志會是
台灣今天最重要的新聞人物。
