http://www.wretch.cc/blog/cafeabout Last weekend (3/18) I went to join Smol's show in a venue i've never been to befre. I was taking the train heading North and arrived this small cafe called "Cafe About" located in 九份/金瓜石 which is only a small log cabin builded on the roadside. It's really a huge honour to be asked to open for Smol as a Busrider member. that time depressions were riding on my head but playing in this warm and cozy area did make me feel much brighter and happier. we played three songs without preparations, but the feeling just went right. people are so kind there, food is also a good part needs to be mentioned! this small but cozy cafe reminds me a lot of the old good times in the Underworld and owing to its structure and space design (woods give really great and warm reflections and because it got a lot of open space, every sound come out so sweat w/o harsh), the band sound in it is really really acoutically awesome -- probably the most wonderful sounding venue in Taiwan, truly! Smol was playing a whole-set-live show that night, two hours filled with 15 sweat tunes. needless to say, the live went so smooth and every player did their best job (Yeah, i did videotape some significant views this time, i'll ask smol if i can share them with you guys, you can see people mushpining on the front row, hard to imagine right?). it seems everyone was infected by this great atomosphere, i was also like being replaced to the first moment i saw their live, everything has became so fresh and fun again!! though it is a little far from the downtown taipei, i'd like to say everything happened that night was just too amazing! I really want to hold another show there in the near future maybe as the ending of our draw a smile tour! Then that should be exactly the right time for you to make your next travel plan!
