關於求page table size 有兩種答案?
如:
32-bit virtual byte address
4-KB pages
30-bit physical byte address
What is the total size of the page table for each process in this machine,
assumig that the valid,protection,dirty,and use bits take a total of 4 bits
and that all the virtual pages are in use?
(Assume that disk addresses are not stored in the page table)
解1:
page數=2^32/2^12=2^20 page
1 page size=4bit+30bit-12bit= 22bit 近似於 24bit=3byte ←我的問題所在
page table size =2^20*3Byte
解2:
page數=2^32/2^12=2^20 page
1 page size=4bit+30bit-12bit= 22bit ←我的問題所在
page table size =2^20*22bit
請問兩種解都是可行的嗎?
