You may be very irritated, hurt by, or angry at someone right now. You will ha ve to encounter this person or group of people again in the near future, and y our instinct might be not to look them in the eye or speak to them and instead present a stiff and unwelcoming countenance - despite your normally affable n ature. But that won't really hurt them - it will only hurt you. It will create anxiety, and it will only make you feel more wounded. Instead, greet them cor dially. You don't have to be inviting or friendly, but do yourself justice by showing what a great individual you are.
